HOW IT ALL STARTED
Local Reading friends Dan and Peter started GV Landscaping in the summer of 2010 when they both owed their parents money. At just 12 years old, they spent mornings meeting at Dan’s parents’ house, grabbing a push lawn mower, a wheelbarrow, and supplies before setting off for the day.
Together, they walked the streets of Reading, MA, tending to neighbors’ lawns. The community supported them and loved seeing local kids working hard. That first summer, they cut more than ten lawns a week to pay their parents back.
As the years passed, the small neighborhood business continued to grow. In 2016, when Peter chose to serve the United States of America, Dan carried the company forward and officially renamed it Gagnon Landscape Contracting.
